3rd-7th February
Free lunch, live music and a short talk looking at your objections in The Cube every day at 1pm
Monday | But does it matter what I believe so long as I'm happy? |
Tuesday | But isn't the Bible, boring, irrelevant and untrue? |
Wednesday | But I'd rather enjoy my life - isn't Christianity about keeping rules? |
Thursday | But how can there be a good God when there's so much suffering? |
Friday | But why would Jesus have to die? |
At the Bunfight and Freshers' Fayre, we asked you what one thing most put you off Christianity. The Lunchtime talks are 20 minute talks exploring the issues that you raised and we lay on an excellent free lunch. You get a big baguette, some cake and drinks. If that wasn't enough, there'll also be live music and a chance to ask the speaker questions afterwards. Everyone is welcome, whatever you believe.
Thought provoking talks and live music every night at 7:30pm

As well as some live music from acts around the University, there'll be talks looking at what the Bible says about some important issues in the Christian faith. Don't miss our launch night on Monday, with live acoustic sets from a range of acts and chocolate fountains.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life from a Christian perspective. It consists of a series of seven talks looking at topics such as the life and death of Jesus and what the Bible is and who wrote it.
We meet weekly to eat together, and each talk is followed by a relaxed discussion in small groups.
Using the form below, you're able to sign up for the Alpha course, or to find out more about the Christian Union
Recordings of each session will be posted here
